I wanted to start the year by making a different video.
In the spirit of #buildinginpublic I want to share why me and Chris, our CTO, created InTimid. My own Dating story over the last 20 years in Los Angeles was a nightmare:
Like many of you, I was looking for a long-term romantic relationship. I had good intentions and soon found out why everybody was saying “dating sucks”!
80% of the matches go to the top 20% of swiping apps.
If you are not as hot as Sidney Sweeney or Ryan Gosling you stand no chance at all.
Nobody reads your bio, we all just decide in a split second after seeing your photo if there is attraction or not! Pure superficiality!
So you wasted hours swiping and searching and still not getting any matches 🙁 In the rare case you do match it’s off to the next painpoint:
is this match compatible at all? What are they looking for? Too often its just a hookup and they doon’t anything serious!
They did not read your carefully crafted profile or dont match any of your wants and needs ! What a waste of time!
For Woman its a million messages of “Hey” Beautiful , “what you doing baby” or “wanna hook up?
You spent more time un-matching and ignoring creeps than getting to know a truly compatible person!
For Men its staring at an empty inbox for days and if you finally do get a match its likely a chatbot, an only fans model promoting their services ,a crypto scam or a person in Nigeria very far away from you looking for a husband nd a greencard!
Why is it so hard to find somebody real? We are in an actual dating crisis!
Neither sex is happy with how the gender roles have shifted: Red Pill 💊 Believers complain about women not pulling their weight in the dating process, requiring all the perks of chivalry and paying for all dates but offering none of the traditional ,old fashioned womanly kindness and acts of service they say they believe in!
Woman are having careers now and don’t need men anymore, supposedly Yet they miss Men not approaching them anymore or are just simping!
Any Other Gender Identity is fighting stigma and backlash for even existing and daring to want finding a mate!
LGBTQ folk have to justify why they love who the love and why they cant be “normal” unless you segregate them into their own dating pools! How Inhumane! It’s a dating nightmare!
Why can't we all get along? Why cant we let everybody date who they are attracted to?nI wanted to create a safe space for all gender identities and sexual orientations. Where you can share your true wants and needs for a romantic partner and have that person be found fast and simple.
